Framer Designer/Developer

Contract to start, with opportunity for full-time

New York or Remote (EST preferred)

Contract rate: $100–$150/hr | Full-time base salary: $105,000–$145,000 (base)

We are hiring a Framer designer/developer to own the creation of interaction-first digital experiences from concept through production.

At Little Plains, Framer is the tool we reach for when a site needs to be expressive, responsive, and shipped fast. This role sits at the intersection of design and development, and we expect fluency in both.

This is a hands-on role. You work directly with UI/UX and brand teams to translate strategy, identity, and messaging into interactive sites, often under tight sprint cycles.

Why This Role Exists

Clients expect more from their digital presence than they used to. Early-stage companies launching today need sites that feel alive, with considered motion, responsive layouts, and interaction design that reflects the quality of the product.

Tools like Framer have made it possible to achieve that quality faster, but only in the hands of someone who understands both how it works and how it should feel. The combination of design sensibility and technical command is rare. This role exists because we need both.

About Little Plains

Little Plains is a modern brand and product studio. Our work is built in context, alongside design and product, guided by strong points of view and supported by AI-driven systems that make speed and rigor compatible. Strategy only matters if it shows up in the work itself.

We work primarily with early-stage companies, often from pre-launch through Series A, at moments where clarity, speed, and conviction matter most. Our partners are founders and small senior teams building new products, categories, and narratives under real constraints.

We operate as an embedded creative partner rather than a traditional digital agency, building brand, product, and go-to-market work into cohesive systems that can scale as companies grow. Our work spans healthcare, biotech, SaaS, and consumer products.

What You Will Do

This is a hands-on role that spans design and development equally.

Day to day, you will:

  • Own Framer builds end to end, from early layout and component work through to production launch
  • Create interactive, responsive experiences that translate brand identity and messaging into digital form
  • Design and develop reusable components and CMS integrations that scale
  • Collaborate with UI/UX and brand teams working in Figma to stay aligned on intent
  • Move quickly through sprint cycles, iterating based on feedback without losing quality
  • Use AI-driven prototyping and workflow tools to accelerate exploration and delivery

How We Work

We move fast, but we do not sacrifice craft.

Builds happen alongside design decisions, not after them. We work in sprints, share work early, and expect Framer builds to be production-ready from the start. AI tools are part of how we explore faster, but taste, technical judgment, and a high bar for what ships remain the responsibility of the person doing the work.

The Bar for Craft

We care about experiences that feel considered and hold up under real use.

This role requires deep Framer expertise, strong design sensibility, and the technical ability to build interactions that perform. The best work here lives between design and code.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience building and shipping Framer sites
  • Strong skills in creating interactive, responsive layouts and reusable components in Framer
  • Ability to implement dynamic content and CMS integrations
  • Comfort collaborating with designers in Figma across sprint cycles
  • Active exploration of AI-driven tools for rapid prototyping and workflow acceleration
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality at every stage

Benefits (Full-Time)

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (50% employer-covered)
  • 15 days PTO (Year 1, increases by 2 days/year)
  • Parental leave: 12 weeks (birth parent), 6 weeks (non-birth parent) at full pay
  • Prenatal leave: 20 hours paid per year
  • Quarterly profit share tied to studio performance
  • Equity participation for long-term team members
  • $1,000/year craft and tools stipend
  • $200/month coworking stipend

What to Submit

  • Resume or LinkedIn profile
  • Portfolio or links to Framer builds
